Natural and Homemade Hair Removal Methods

Some of the natural hair removal methods include the following:

1. Sugar wax
Sugar wax is one of the more common hair removal methods. Take 200g sugar, 60ml lemon juice, and 60ml water, and heat these three ingredients in a saucepan. Keep stirring to avoid sugar from sticking to the bottom of the pan. Once it is boiling, reduce the flame.

After the mixture turns golden brown, remove it from the stove and store it in a jar for around 30 minutes. Take a little portion in your hand and roll it into a ball as it cools down. After spreading it on the area you want to wax, let it stay for a minute, and then pull the sugar wax from one corner. The pull should be in the direction opposite to hair growth.

2. Pumice stone
It is a natural stone that is mainly used for softening and smoothing out the calluses on the feet, but in its dry avatar, it can be used for hair removal. Once you start moving the pumice stone in a circular motion on the part you want to be hairless, the rough texture of the stone will catch and pull the hair out. It comes out easily when the stone is removed from that area as body hair enters the vesicles and clings to it. After using the stone, it is important to apply a moisturizer.

3. Eggs
Mix 1 egg white, 1 tablespoon sugar, and 1/2 tablespoon cornflour in a bowl. Apply a thin layer of the mixture to your face, and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. After peeling the mask off carefully, you’ll notice facial hair along with the grease and dirt stuck to the peel. This is one of the best facial hair removal methods as it gives you a glowing face.

4. Papaya Paste
For a papaya paste, you need 1-2 tablespoons of mashed papaya and half a teaspoon of turmeric powder. Massage the mixture in such a way that it seeps into the skin and reaches the hair follicles. Leave it to dry for 15 minutes and rinse off.

5. Turmeric
Turmeric is a yellow-colored powder mainly used as a spice that you can get it in any departmental store. Mix 3 teaspoons of turmeric powder with 1 teaspoon of milk. Now, spread the paste in the area where you don’t want facial hair, and apply it in the direction of hair growth. Leave it to dry for 20 minutes. Once the mixture has hardened, rub the area in a circular motion and wash it off.

6. Gelatin
Gelatin is a colorless food ingredient which is brittle when dry and gum-like when moist. When mixed with 1½ teaspoons of milk and 3 drops of lavender essential oil, it becomes a hair removal remedy. After heating the mixture in the microwave for 12 seconds, apply it on the upper lip or any other part with a spatula. Once it’s dry, slowly massage the hardened mixture and then rinse off.

Using these remedies regularly loosens the hair follicles, and gradually affects hair growth.
